Barbara Ann Rowe

Barbara Ann Rowe born February 26, 1941, she was the youngest daughter of eight siblings born to William and Ermine (Allen) Rowe.

She left Burkesville, Kentucky at an early age and moved to Indianapolis, IN where she worked at Bernice’s Café then in 1964, she landed a position with Western Electric also known as AT&T. She worked there for 37 years and retired in September 2001.

Ms. Rowe enjoyed roller skating in her earlier years, softball, tennis and could have been an awesome female coach for the NBA, she loved basketball.

In 1966 Barbara was crowned Queen of the first annual Temptation ball sponsored by the Defiant’s club

Ms. Rowe accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in the early 70’s where she and daughter Marsha attended St. Jude Deliverance Center. She was a active member in Church as a Nurse's aide, and lead songs and sung in the Mass Choir.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Marsha Johnson; a sister Martha Moorman; a brother, Joseph Rowe (Flossie) along with a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews’ other relatives and friends.

Ms. Rowe lived a wonderful life and amazing life and was a well-respected Woman with a beautiful smile and great personality and character.

Her daughter Marsha is a replica of her mother and she will miss her mother, but she knows that her mom is in heaven with the Lord now and will continue to smile down on her for the rest of her life.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Fannie Chapel CME Chruch 204 Durham Street Campbellsville, Kentucky. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Fannie Chapel CME Chruch.
