Barkley Jean Taylor

Barkley Jean Taylor, 70, of Campbellsville, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Hospice of Bluegrass Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Ms. Taylor was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Voices choir. She was a member of the Campbellsville independent School board where she served for 29 years. She also was a member of the Durham High Committee. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her son, Darwin Taylor; parents, Virgil and Norma Jean Taylor; two sisters, Peggy and Phyllis Ray; two brothers, Vincent and Donald Taylor;

Survivors include her Grandson, Chaz Alexander Hughes of Louisville, KY; three sisters, Bonnie Farris (Anthony) of Campbellsville, KY, Vanessa Taylor of Campbellsville, KY and Melissa Taylor of Campbellsville, KY; five brothers, Joseph Taylor Sr. of Campbellsville, KY, Gregory Taylor (Cindy) of Fayetteville, NC, Earl Taylor (Vanessa) of Campbellsville, KY, Terry Taylor (Patricia) of Campbellsville, KY and Stefan Taylor of Campbellsville, KY and host of nieces, nephew other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Montel Richardson Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 11, 2022 at First Baptist Church.
