Geneva Reese

Geneva Reese, 85 of Campbellsville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on July 20, 2023, at Bluegrass way assisted living.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky where she served on the finance committee. She was also awarded 50-year membership certificate. She was a member of the Golden star wives for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and attending the annual family reunion. She was recognized for most attendance of the family reunion. She volunteered at the Kentucky Center of Arts. Mrs. Geneva loved to travel and see the world. She was a graduate of Durham High School and attended college at West Kentucky vocational school. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Odency and Veronica Johnson; three brothers, Rev. Walter Johnson, Otis Johnson and Odency Johnson; sister in-laws, Barbara Johnson, Juanita Johnson and Josephine Johnson; a brother in-law, Jerry Hill.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters, Wray Hill and Annette Branch; a brother Forrest Johnson (Wynetta) and host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church Campbellsville with Rev. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Church.
