Jonathan Demont Thompson

Jonathan Demont Thompson, 49, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away tragically on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, as a result of an automobile accident.

Jonathan was known for his love of travel, spending time with family and friends, and always being willing to lend a helping hand. He was a passionate University of Kentucky fan, enjoyed gaming, and cherished the moments he spent with loved ones. His warm spirit and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Gloria Jean Thompson; one brother, Shawn Thompson (Heather) of Louisville, KY; one sister, Shakelle McCoy of Nashville, TN; four nephews, Kamari Thompson, Reese Thompson, Teakwon McCoy, and William Bethel; one niece, Riley Thompson; his longtime loving girlfriend, Ellen Green of Lexington, KY; bonus son, Evan Green of Louisville, KY; and two grandchildren, Kendrix Marie Green and Kenzley Marie Green. He also leaves behind a host of beloved relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Tyrone Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Monday at the church and will continue until the time of service.
