Mrs. Mary Lee Atkinson, 87, of Campbellsville, KY died on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.
She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church where she served as a Stewardess. She enjoyed gardening, taking long walks and having her coffee each day. Mrs. Atkinson didn't meet a stranger she loved talking and meeting new people.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Atkinson; her daughter, Mary lois Ingram; six brothers, John Robert White, James White, George Cecil Ingram, Elwood Ingram, Otha Ingram and Claudius White; three sisters, Susie Smith, Lula Scott and Shirley McKay;
Survivors include four sons, Ronnie Atkinson of Campbellsville, KY, Jerry Atkinson of Louisville, KY, Barry Atkinson of Campbellsville, KY, and Glen Atkinson of Campbellsville, KY; three daughters, Betty Atkinson of Campbellsville, KY, Joyce Atkinson of Campbellsville, and Sharon Atkinson of Campbellsville, KY; seven grandchildren,Delisa Porter, Melodie Richberg, Melinda Atkinson, Terron Atkinson, Patrick Moran, Danielle Moran and Christopher Moran; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters in-law, Dorothy Ingram of Campbellsville, KY and Dorothy Ingram of Louisville, KY; one brother in-law, Eugene McKay of Campbellsville, KY; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 21, 2022 at Bethel A.M.E Church with Pastor Doretha Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Hayes Brothers Funeral Home Campbellsville.
