Joyce Windfred Vaughn Cecil, 78 of Campbellsville, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren at her residence on May 5, 2024.
Ms. Cecil accepted Christ at an early age, during her adult years she join First Baptist Church Campbellsville. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, singing, and dancing. Ms. Cecil was well known for being a good listener, taking the time out of her day and just listening to family and friends who needed her at that time. She enjoyed sending all types of cards to family and friends and this brought her joy to see others happy. She also enjoyed celebrating her birthday. Most of all Ms. Cecil was a good Mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Ms. Winfred Joyce Cecil will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence, and Georgia Vaughn; a granddaughter, Tiarra Cecil; Siblings, Edna Mae Sweatte, Albert Lee Vaughn, Amos Luther Vaughn, Mildred Marriner and Orville Oscar Vaughn.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Pamela Joyce Perry-Cecil, and Paula Karen Hopkins; three sons, Dexter Cecil (Shirley), William (Red) Cecil and Bobby Lamont Cecil (Wachelle); a special son in-law, Terry Hopkins; a Host of Grandchildren and Great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Ingram and Anna Miller; a host of nieces, nephews’ other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at First Baptist Church Campbellsville with Rev. Tyrone Johnson officiating. A burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at First Baptist Church Campbellsville.
